What we collect

When you ask for your £20 of credit, the form takes five things:

If you go on to use Kettl, we also hold the account and usage records that come with running the service: who logged in, what was dialled or messaged, call recordings and transcripts, and your credit balance and top-ups.

Why we collect it, and our lawful basis

We use the details from the form to set you up, apply your credit, and talk to you about getting started. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — you have asked us for a trial of a business product, and contacting you about it is what you would reasonably expect. Where we need your consent instead, for example to send you marketing unrelated to your enquiry, we will ask for it and you can withdraw it at any time.

We use account and usage records to provide the service, bill your credit correctly, support you, and keep the platform secure. Our lawful basis there is performance of a contract with you.

Your leads and your customers' data

When you use Kettl to work your own leads, you decide whose data goes in and what happens to it. For that data you are the controller and we are your processor, acting on your instructions under a data processing agreement. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact those people, for the consent wording and source you record against each lead, and for honouring opt-outs. Kettl records consent and screens against TPS and CTPS to help you meet those obligations, but the obligations stay yours.

Connecting your calendar

Onboarding offers to connect your Google or Outlook calendar, so Kettl can book appointments at times you are actually free. It is optional.

If you connect one, we store three things: the email address of the calendar account you connected, the start and end times of your existing appointments — your free/busy times, and an encrypted token that lets us read those times again without asking you to sign in each time.

We do not receive or store the content of your appointments. Not the title, not the description, not the location, not who else is invited, not any attachments. We ask Google only for the calendar.freebusy permission and Microsoft only for Calendars.ReadBasic. Those are the narrowest permissions that answer the one question we need answered: when are you busy?

We use this only to show and book available appointment times. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not share it with anyone else, and we do not use it to train AI models. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract with you.

You can disconnect at any time by removing Kettl’s access in your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or in your Microsoft account at myapps.microsoft.com. Email compliance@sales-fuel.co.uk if you would like the free/busy data we hold deleted straight away; otherwise we delete the token and those times within 30 days of the connection being removed.

Kettl’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We share it only with the suppliers who make the service work:

Some of these suppliers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement to keep your data protected to the same standard.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for two years from your last contact with us, then deleted. Account records are kept for as long as your account is open and for six years afterwards, which is the period we need for tax and accounting. Call recordings and transcripts are kept according to the retention period set on your account. Calendar tokens and free/busy times are held only while the calendar is connected.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and ask us to transfer it to someone else. Email compliance@sales-fuel.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
